International Women’s Day (IWD), observed on March 8, honors the achievements of women worldwide and advocates for their rights. Originating from early 20th-century suffrage movements, IWD has evolved into a powerful platform for promoting gender equality. From rallies to strikes, women have used IWD to amplify their voices and effect change. 

One such example of amplification comes from Sweden where for nearly three decades the country has come alive in March with a spirited tradition that celebrates women’s camaraderie, skill, and shared passion. This event is none other than the Women’s Five, where women from all walks of life gather to compete, bond, and create lasting memories. The 29th running will be held March 9-10 in Borås.

The theme for 2024 is "Learning for Lasting Peace".  Minigolf has always been an education for anyone who dives deep into the sport and as we have covered in past Days of Education, it has been used in many educational settings to help illustrate a variety of concepts.
